Austin Healy 1955 '100 BN1

This healey came to us in desperate need of a complete restoration Side view of the white over green 2 tone colour with green interior The owner wants an all alloy body for his 100 BN1, inc doors, bonnet, front and rear guards etc...

Rear end also off the car and rear end shroud sent away to get alkaline dipped

Front end after coming back from the dippers The only steel external panel component of the car also came back from the alkaline dippers, ready for epoxy primer
Rear end after coming back from the dippers Welded new inner structural panel in place

front end being file finished and repaired after all fabricated panels welded in place repaired and file finished left side aluminium front guard, as they are all new panels from the UK as there are alot of imperfections that cant be left unattended to

 

trial fitting bonnet and checking bonnet gaps, as the new bonnet needs alot of modifying and adjustment
modifying and adjustment was needed on bonnet to get it perfect trial fitting bonnet again after modifying bonnet which had alot of things wrong with it, that is why we removed bonnet frame from skin to do the work efficiently, now its perfect

 

trial fitting boot lid with locks and at same time repair and file finished small dents and damage, as this is the only steel body part on this car everything else is alloy
rear end epoxy primer inside and out after being file finished blocking process completed now we can remove bonnet inside guards stoneguarded and painted now ready to fit on car to paint external

 

Inside doors painted in old english white Inside front end and rear end painted inside front end painted in british racing green, now ready to fit on body, to then paint on external

 

working on the engine on the engine stand the engine and gearbox restored, put on the dyno and ready to fit in car engine back in car after doing all the engine work, with the front end off the car it was a good opportunity to fit engine now

 

freshly painted in the 2 tone colours out of the spray booth ready to be fitted up
