This is the 230sl as it
arrived into our workshop to undertake the rust work mainly on the
rear end section, as the owner has a time limit as to when he wants
the car finished |
We already started
dismantling the parts to commence on the bodywork |
The rust on the quarter
panel is very evident, and even the inner wheel arch was badly rusted
as we tested it by inserting a screwdriver through the panels |
 |
 |
 |
|
Outer beaver panel cut,
and assessing the inner beaver panel rust |
As we progress with
removing the panels, the car is looking less and less like a car, but
that will soon change |
Boot floor cut out, as we
are awaiting a bunch of new panels from our parts suppliers, but in
the meantime there is a' lot of grinding and repairing to do before we
put the new panels in place |
